If you are trying to uninstall a program through Add/Remove Programs, but uninstallation fails, it may be because your registry is corrupted. Microsoft offers a tool called Windows Installer CleanUp Utility which will help make Windows think that your program doesn't exist on your machine. That way you can reinstall the program and then uninstall it clearnly. The tool is available here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301
Quick Tricks
When using Windows Remote Desktop on Windows Server 2003, it insists on treating every remote login as a seperate user session. If you rather access the console session, you can append the "/console" command line argument after the hostname and it will start or resume your existing console session as if you were physically in front of the computer.
